Mr. Himel joined Herbert J. Sims & Co., Inc. in 2001. Since joining Sims, he has completed 34 financings representing over $1.1 billion for senior living clients. He specializes in complex, custom tailored financing structures geared toward maximizing the economic benefit of the financing to the client. As an Associate, he spearheaded Sims’ use of construction loans to provide short-term financing for start-up CCRCs to allow clients to take advantage of the compression of short-term yields from 2003 through 2005.

Prior to joining Sims, Mr. Himel was an Associate in the Public Finance department of another investment banking firm. Mr. Himel received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. and his Masters in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from Rollins College.
